Upon its 1995 release, “Showgirls” was the target of ridicule. That life of disdain continued as the film made the home video rounds, landing it on heavy rotation in dorm room heckle-a-thons and providing plenty of drinking game fodder. Decades later, numerous critics have begun to reconsider it.
