Hailing from Northern Michigan, Lije Sarki is a producer, director, writer,
and skateboarder. Growing up, when he wasn’t helping his waitress mother with his younger siblings, he was riding a skateboard. At 16, he planned an escape to California, but after a failed attempt he finally made it out west to attend graduate school in San Diego. Eventually, Lije made it to LA where he has since produced over 10 feature films - directing two and writing one. He created a short that went viral, receiving a Vimeo Staff Pick, he’s shot music videos, and produced/co-directed a skateboarding docu-series which brought him back to his roots as a teenage skater as he was able to work alongside the men he idolized growing up. More recently, he produced The Peanut Butter Falcon under his new banner: 1993. Lije lives in Venice, CA with his wife and two children. He still surfs or skates every single day.
