Filmed during the emotionally charged period following the 2016 presidential election, “Gay Chorus Deep South” documents the journey of the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus while on their performance tour through Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee and the Carolinas. This film poignantly follows SFGMC members with Southern roots, as they return home and meet people in communities affected by the tour as well as community members who are on the front lines fighting for love and acceptance. — Charlie Bice
