Shot on location and set in Birmingham, this easy-going but darkly dramatic comedy centers on a recently bequeathed sword with a dubious history — a relic that comes with bizarre documentation claiming the South won the Civil War. The laugh-out-loud entertaining (and increasingly absurd) storyline is expertly delivered by a talented cast, who bring real depth to the misfit group of characters, led by Marc Maron’s reluctant pawnshop owner Mel, who try to sell the sword to true believers. — Ashley B.
