In 2017, high school transgender athlete Mack Beggs, competing in the league for the gender he was assigned at birth, was named the Texas state champion in wrestling. The win made headlines, generating hero worship from some and hate mail and threats from others. “Changing The Game” focuses on Beggs, but also profiles high school athletes Sarah, a New Hampshire skier, and Connecticut track star Andraya.
